TRAUMA INFORMED CARE & TRAUMA INFORMED SUPERVISION

1 FULL DAY; ATTEND 1 OR BOTH

Morning training Trauma Informed Care for ALL Staff:

9:30am to 12:00pm

Traumatic experience in the history of addiction and mental health clients is extremely common. However, the impact of trauma can be difficult for service providers to recognize. This training will provide an understanding of psychological trauma, define trauma-informed care and review “do’s and don’ts” in the provision of services.  This training is designed for all employees of an agency, not just clinical staff.

Afternoon training: Trauma Informed Supervision:

1:30pm to 4:00pm

It is not uncommon in human services for excellent direct care staff to be promoted to a supervisory position without the skills and training needed to be a successful supervisor. This workshop will explore supervisory styles, competencies of trauma-informed supervision, and a brief review of effective responses to burn-out, moral distress, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.

Lunch is on your own!
